Thanks to innovative modern technologies, we are proud to present the ability to provide you with same day crowns - that's right, a new crown in just one appointment! Here's how it works.

First, high resolution digital 3-D impressions are taken with a small camera, a unique camera created just for this purpose.

Then, the new software examines the entire image and uses the results to compute a variety of outstanding restoration possibilities. Next those possibilities are analyzed and improved by the doctor and the final restoration plan is picked.

Step three your brand-new crown is milled by the cerec machine right in our office and put in your mouth, all in one appointment!

If you want to understand more about the same day crown treatment, call our office and we would be happy to assist you.

Same Day Crown Restorations

Today's Topic Will Be About:

Teeth Veneers (Porcelain)

Veneers are a really thin pieces of long lasting, tooth shaped, porcelain that are custom made (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a stunning and appealing smile.

Veneers can entirely reshape your teeth and smile. They can commonly be alternatives to crowns and the perfect option in treating numerous cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

As with a lot of dental restorations, veneers may someday require replacement; however, they are still really long lasting and will last years, giving you a long lasting, gorgeous smile.

How Are Veneers Placed?

Veneers are a dental procedure where a covering is positioned over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are usually only done to the part of the teeth that are seen when talking or smiling. The procedure can be direct or indirect.

The direct strategy generally involves placing composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This technique is typically referred to as bonding.

The indirect strategy typically involves 2 visits because the veneers will be produced at a dental laboratory. At the first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are provided a temporary covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The lab made veneers are generally made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are extremely esthetic.

The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the procedure is normally less unpleasant. Veneers are not advised for teeth that have large fillings or little tooth structure.

You will get care guidelines for your veneers. Correct brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will aid in the life of your brand-new and stunning veneers.
