The Advantages Of Using Single Visit Crowns Are:

  • It is time-saving. It allows you to have your dental crown put in place in just one dental visit.

  • Its material is biocompatible. Same day crowns use ceramic which mimics the look of your natural teeth therefore making it aesthetically pleasing. It does not cause temperature sensitivity which holds true when it comes to dental crowns made from metals.

  • It is durable. Same day crowns have the same toughness as those made from gold materials.

  • It is more precise. The impression made from this new technology is more accurate as compared to traditional impressions.

  • Taking dental impression is more comfortable. Same day crowns use intraoral camera and CAD to take the impression of the tooth while standard dental impression is done using salt alignate.

The only disadvantage of a same day crown is that not all clients are candidates for this treatment. Clients with extensive tooth damage that has reached the gum line requires a traditional crown rather than a same day crown. Also, the damage in the front tooth needs a laboratory-manufactured crown since they are thoroughly made than same day crowns.

If you are interested with this kind of procedure or you have more questions or concerns relating to same day crowns, call us today.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of areas requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used in a wide scope of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

The Conversation Of The Day Will Be:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Discovering problems with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, costly treatments or surgeries. X-rays are mostly used to find:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have a number of advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The worry of direct exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Large on-screen X-rays make patient communication more effective. The immediate observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and properly.

Digital radiography has significantly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It enables the patient and the medical professional to see pictures of the teeth in higher resolution on a huge format for much easier detection of problems, all while reducing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available quickly after exposure, eliminating the wait and effort spent developing and installing x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done immediately. Digital format also allows us to send out and receive your images digitally for consultation that can be provided to you quickly.
