Why Choose Same Day Dental Crowns?

There are many benefits of single visit crowns over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, conserving you substantial time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no need for a short-term crown, which eliminates significant possible pain and inconvenience of a lost short-term restoration. Only one appointment means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was previously treated with a root canal. No standard impressions resulting in no gagging.

  • Visual appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this brand-new technology restores your teeth to their natural strength, beauty, and function and closely match the structure of natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is tougher than the standard method of layering and pressing, so your smile will remain stunning for multiple years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and innovation can also be used for fillings. Because they are constructed out of porcelain, they are more resilient than white composite fillings. They are a lot more aesthetic than mercury including silver fillings and tougher because of bonding innovation.

If you have anymore questions about same day crowns or porcelain crowns, please feel free to call our office today. We will address any concerns you have and you can make an appointment to speak with our dentist face to face.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of areas requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. Today's Conversation Will Be About:

Temporal Mandibular Joint

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint might be triggered by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle stress. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are involved in the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can trigger:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, in some cases extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces in between teeth, etc. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Sometimes a plastic mouth piece is utilized to prevent clenching or grinding that is contributing to the problem. If unattended and taken to extremes, surgery might be needed to repair a severely damaged joint.
