Why Choose Single Day Crowns?

There are many advantages of single visit crowns over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, saving you substantial time away from your job and family.

  • Comfort: With same day crowns, there is no need for a temporary crown, which eliminates significant possible discomfort and inconvenience of a lost short-term restoration. Only one visit means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was formerly treated with a root canal. No standard impressions resulting in no gagging.

  • Looks: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this new innovation restores your teeth to their natural durability, beauty, and function and closely match the structure of natural tooth structure.

  • Durability: Milled ceramic is stronger than the standard method of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay gorgeous for multiple years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and technology can also be used for fillings. Since they are constructed out of porcelain, they are more resilient than white composite fillings. They are much more aesthetic than mercury consisting of silver fillings and tougher because of bonding technology.

Today's Topic Will Be:

Porcelain Veneers (Teeth)

Veneers are a really thin pieces of durable, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to produce a stunning and appealing smile.

Veneers can entirely reshape your teeth and smile. They can often be alternatives to crowns and the ideal solution in treating many cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

As with the majority of dental restorations, veneers might one day need replacement; however, they are still extremely resilient and will last years, offering you a long lasting, gorgeous smile.

How Are Veneers Applied?

Veneers are a dental procedure in which a covering is put over the outside (noticeable area) of the tooth. Veneers are normally only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or grinning. The treatment can be direct or indirect.

The direct method usually involves putting composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This approach is normally referred to as bonding.

The indirect technique normally involves two visits because the veneers will be produced at a dental laboratory. At the very first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are offered a short-term covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory produced veneers are typically made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very esthetic.

The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the treatment is typically less uncomfortable. Veneers are not recommended for teeth that have huge fillings or little tooth structure.

You will receive care guidelines for your veneers. Appropriate brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will help in the life of your new and lovely veneers.
