At our dental practice we do same day crowns. You may be asking, exactly what are same day crowns and exactly what can it do for me?

It is a 3D system that lets us make porcelain crowns and inlays all in one appointment. We have now been using this technology for many years and like it more than ever.

Same day crowns are an in-surgery computer system that enables us to replace broken or missing tooth structures with a ceramic material that's as close to a natural tooth as is possible.

This is done while you remain in the practice, in simply one appointment. All ceramic porcelain inlays and onlays, veneers and crowns that look and feel like natural teeth can be made and placed in a single visit, usually in about an hour.

So exactly what is the treatment?

We scan the opposite teeth and the method the teeth bite together first. We eliminate the old filling, and degeneration and any thin weak tooth product and scan the readied tooth.

After this we quit working in the mouth and start working on the computer.

Everyone enjoys seeing the pictures of their teeth and the creating of their new tooth. We make 3D design and this info is sent to the milling device.

Everybody asks if this is like 3D printing and yes it is, but the tooth isn't developed layer by layer, it is cut from a block in the device, which is much more durable.

The block is then precisely carved to produce your new restoration, which is fantastic.

At last, the customized crown restoration bonded effortlessly into the tooth, enhancing and sealing it at the same time and then we clean up!

We need to make sure that you can bite properly, that its smooth and that you can floss.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of areas requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

Today's Discussion Has To Do With:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Discovering issues with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, expensive procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mostly utilized to spot:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have a number of advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The concern of direct exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Large on-screen X-rays make patient communication more efficient. The immediate observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has greatly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It enables the client and the physician to see images of the teeth in greater resolution on a big format for easier detection of problems, all while reducing the radiation exposure to the patient. The process we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available instantly after exposure, getting rid of the wait and effort spent establishing and installing x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done instantly. Digital format also allows us to send and receive your images electronically for consultation that can be presented to you rapidly.
