Why Choose Single Day Crowns?

There are many benefits of single day crowns over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, conserving you significant time away from your job and family.

  • Comfort: With same day crowns, there is no need for a temporary crown, which removes significant potential discomfort and inconvenience of a lost short-term restoration. Only one appointment means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was previously treated with a root canal. No traditional impressions which means there is no gagging.

  • Aesthetics: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this brand-new technology restores your teeth to their natural durability, charm, and function and carefully match the structure of natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is stronger than the standard technique of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay beautiful for many years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and innovation can also be used for fillings. Since they are constructed of porcelain, they are more long lasting than white composite fillings. They are much more aesthetic than mercury containing silver fillings and stronger because of bonding innovation.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of areas requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. The Conversation For Today Will Be:

Temporal Mandibular Joint

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint might be triggered by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle stress. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are involved in the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can trigger:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, in some cases extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can consist of replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. In some cases a plastic mouthpiece is utilized to prevent clenching or grinding that is contributing to the problem. If unattended and required to extremes, surgery may be needed to repair a terribly damaged joint.
