Can Same Day Crowns Help Me?

With this new innovation it enables dental practitioners to custom-craft restorations in as little as one hour. With this, we can make natural looking crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers right here in our office while you unwind. Now, there is no longer a need to make numerous appointments to the dentist's office to be measured and fitted with temporary restorations - you can take pleasure in a fantastic, natural looking, and resilient solution for your missing or damaged teeth today.

First, your dentist will meet with you to go over the details of the treatment. During the procedure, the dentist will put a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique camera to take an image of your tooth.

Using the brand-new software, the photo serves as a map to design your tooth's restoration. Then, it will use a diamond bur and disk-work to produce your restoration piece out of ceramic.

Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

It makes your teeth tougher and more stunning - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the high-grade ceramic product works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of areas requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used in a broad range of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

The Conversation For Today Will Be:

Temporal Mandibular Joint

TMJ stands for temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint may be triggered by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and five muscles are associated with the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, often extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can consist of replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces in between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. In some cases a plastic mouthpiece is utilized to prevent clenching or grinding that is contributing to the problem. If neglected and required to extremes, surgery might be needed to fix a terribly damaged joint.
