If you have a missing tooth or teeth, you know the embarrassment and pain this can cause. You have most likely been investigating ways you can restore your smile and good bite. We believe you will be very interested to know that at our practice, you have the ability to receive same day crowns! It is a comfy one-day procedure!

Our whole dental practice is advanced, except for our patient care and concern which is traditional. We understand the discomfort missing teeth can cause patients, and therefore we are extremely pleased to be able to supply patients with same day crowns.

Dental crowns are used to enhance a tooth, and return it to its original function. Dental crowns are made to color-match the adjacent teeth, so they can not be spotted by others as being anything less than a long-term tooth. With a dental crown, you have the ability to eat anything you like, and your clear speech will never ever be disrupted. In fact, your dental crown is so natural feeling, you will not even know it exists in your mouth.

Same day crowns are a really amazing offering of our practice. We have the ability to have you with a beautiful new smile in just one day. Our office has state-of-the-art equipment that permits dental practitioners to supply you with crowns in just a little portion of the time that was required before.

CAD/CAM technology is what makes this exciting development possible. The acronym stands for computer-aided design/computed-aided manufacturing. We have the ability to use this innovation in our system. This system is used to fix teeth, start to finish, in one day. This will save you from an additional visit to our practice, a week or so later. We're sure you have much more exciting things you would rather do with your time than to sit in our dental practitioner's chair any longer than you need to!

Using our brand-new system, we scan the readied tooth in your mouth or from an impression, then send the information to our in-office milling station. The restoration is computer-milled to the specific specifications to fit your mouth in minutes. Once the crown is crated, we position it in your mouth, and color, polish and restore your brand-new tooth to a gorgeous and natural-looking luster. This technology can also be used for same-day veneers or inlays.

If you need a crown in a hurry, for an upcoming social or company event, this process may indeed be ideal for you. If you are interested in finding out more about this process, call us today for a consultation.

Dental Crowns

A crown (or cap) is a covering that covers the whole tooth surface area restoring it to its original sizes and shape. A crown protects and strengthens the tooth structure providing the tooth a longer life span than it would have if brought back by fillings or other types of restorations.

Crowns are full coverage restorations that are utilized to cover a tooth that is most likely to break, or is too broken down to be restored with a filling. They are most frequently done after root canal treatments, or when a big filling wears out. The larger the hole made by a cavity that has to be treated, the more likely a crown will be needed. Even after a filling is put in a big cavity, a tooth is most likely to break. Bear in mind that the jaw muscles are the strongest in the human body. Teeth undergo tremendous pressures. Crowns sit over the weakened tooth, providing strength and securing the tooth against damage. A damaged or split tooth is a far more serious matter and far more challenging to treat. Crowns prevent this, as well as making for a nice smile.

It takes 2 appointments to restore a tooth with a crown. In the first visit any decay is eliminated from the tooth and it is formed to accept the crown. Then an impression is made of the tooth for use in making a crown. In between the two visits the crown is made, typically of high-strength porcelain over gold alloy, all ceramic product, or gold. A temporary crown is worn throughout this time. In the 2nd visit this temporary crown is removed. Then the {permanent crown is adjusted as needed and after that cemented in place.

What Does Getting A Crown Involve?

A crown treatment normally needs two visits. Your very first appointment will consist of taking impressions that will be used to create your custom-made crown. A mold will also be utilized to produce a short-term crown which will stay on your tooth for around two weeks up until your brand-new crown is produced by a dental laboratory.

While the tooth is numb, the dental practitioner will prepare the tooth by removing any decay and forming the surface area to correctly fit the crown. When these details are accomplished, your short-term crown will be put with short-term cement and your bite will be checked to ensure you are biting properly.

At your 2nd visit your temporary crown will be removed, the tooth will be cleaned, and your brand-new crown will be thoroughly placed to ensure the spacing and bite are precise.

You will be given care guidelines and encouraged to have routine dental visits to inspect your crown. As always, correct oral hygiene will help extend the life of your new crown.
