If you have a fractured or busted tooth, are experiencing discomfort when chewing or exposed to hot or cold temperatures, or wish to remove unsightly metal crowns or fillings, then dental crowns might be a good option for you. Dental Crowns cover the outter surface of the affected tooth, adding durability and stability to it.

Same-day dental crowns are an option that we offer on a case by case basis to patients who would benefit from the treatment. They allow clients to come to our office and leave within a couple hours with their permanent dental crown in place that same day. This eliminates the need to have a short-term crown placed then another check-up arranged for the positioning of the final crown.

Our Same-Day Crowns are made with our new innovation that scans the mouth to get the proper measurements of your tooth and surrounding teeth, and then makes your crown right there in the office. These restorations are extremely strong and long lasting and constructed of the highest quality porcelain available. In some cases, a gold crown might be advised for your posterior teeth (back teeth) if you grind or clench your teeth a lot.

Gold crowns are different from porcelain crowns, and the expense may differ between the two and you might want to talk about your budget as well with the your dental practitioner. Your dentist will discuss with you the types of crowns available and give you a suggestion based upon your specific situation.

Call us to set up a complimentary cosmetic consultation. We look forward to talking to you.

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device created to replace missing teeth. The device is generally constructed out of titanium and is surgically placed into the jawbone where the teeth are missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and conventional bridges or dentures may not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some people, dental implants offer a smile that looks and feels extremely natural. Surgically put below the gums over a series of appointments, implants connect to the jawbone and act as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants offer stability because they fuse to your bone, a process called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some individuals also find the secure fit is more comfy than conventional substitutes. Prospects for dental implants have to have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

How Involving Is A Dental Implant?

A dental implant may be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this treatment, a little titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which in addition slows or stops the bone loss that takes place when the root of a natural tooth is missing. When the implant is firmly embeded in the mouth, the dentist then works to attach the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent option has the advantages over bridge work that it does not need the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth break, another can merely be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be used as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an option to partial dentures, and has numerous advantages. First, there is no adjustment period to acclimatize the patient who, once the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no discomfort or difficulty in eating. And, best of all, of course, they don't have to be taken out all the time.
