Why You Should Opt For Single Visit Crowns?

There are numerous benefits of using same day crown over traditional crown innovation.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one appointment, saving you significant time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no need for a short-term crown, eliminating substantial possible pain.

  • Aesthetic appeals: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic products of same day crowns restore your teeth to their natural strength, charm, and function, and carefully match the composition of your natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is tougher than the standard technique of layering and pressing, so your smile will remain gorgeous for multiple years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and technology can also be used for fillings. Since these fillings are constructed of porcelain, they are more durable than white composite fillings.

Today We Will Be Talking About:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of the majority of patients, there are numerous methods to bleach teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth bleaching system that will lighten teeth significantly. Because tooth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is essential to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize multiple methods: custom made tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray technique involves having impressions taken, which the lab makes into custom-made vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole procedure takes about a week of everyday use. Three various strengths of gel may be utilized, however, the higher the strength, the greater the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is advised for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take multiple months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a extremely quick and convenient lightening process. The visit is around one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our patients like this treatment since it is so easy and fast!

Tooth lightening is not permanent. A touch-up might be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays should be utilized every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
