Obtain A Perfect Smile With Same Day Crowns

Same Day Crowns resolve aesthetic requirements, fix tooth function, and enhance the overall health of your mouth. In cases where teeth have large broken down fillings, a crown can secure and preserve the remaining natural tooth.

To enhance your smile, a metal-free, tooth-colored same day crown can also take place of an older metal or porcelain crown. Following root canal treatment, a crown is usually placed over the remaining tooth structure to preserve visual and tooth function.

Today's Discussion Has To Do With:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a procedure where we apply a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be used in specific situations where a tooth has actually been broken or become stained. These are generally small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this fairly inexpensive methods rather than through a more pricey dental procedure.

Here Is How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to fix damage done to the tooth by decay, to alter the alignment of the tooth, close gaps in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material sticks to the surface. Then the material itself is placed on the tooth and solidified with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to get a glossy finish as a last step.
