Why Are They Called Same Day Crowns?

This advanced technology permits your dentist to take precise images of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and position a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single appointment. Same day crowns offer unparalleled benefits, value, and precision to our patients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown procedure consists of 3 fundamental steps. First, your dentist uses 3D imaging to take extremely accurate photos of your tooth and the surrounding structures. Second, he downloads these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, creates your custom-fitted crown. 3rd, your dental practitioner will send the design to their in-office precision milling machine which creates the crown from a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for extra strength and esthetics, your dentist will put it on your tooth.

Exactly What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?

We just use dental porcelain and zirconia to develop our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations offer incomparable toughness, sturdiness, chip and stain resistance, and natural beauty.

Precision-fitted same day crowns require less tooth prep work and maintain more of your tooth structure.

Standard crowns need 2 office appointments. With same day crowns, you can come to our dentist's office for an appointment and leave with a magnificently fixed tooth.

You can avoid the trouble and potential risks associated with ill-fitting short-term crowns.

Today We Will Be Going Over:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the number one aesthetic concern of most patients, there are multiple ways to bleach teeth. The most popular method is using a home tooth whitening system that will whiten teeth dramatically. Because tooth bleaching only works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize numerous techniques: customizeded tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory fabricates into custom-made vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole procedure takes about a week of day-to-day use. 3 various strengths of gel may be utilized, however, the greater the strength, the higher the likelihood of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray method is recommended for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take a number of months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really quick and hassle-free whitening procedure. The visit is around one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our patients enjoy this treatment because it is so simple and quick!

Tooth lightening is not permanent. A touch-up might be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays ought to be utilized every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
