What Are Same Day Crowns?

The same day crown is a technology for fixing damaged teeth, and this restoration can be completed in a single visit to the dentist's office. It makes your teeth stronger and more gorgeous, all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free, and the top-quality ceramic product works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

More About The Same Day Crown Process

Throughout your visit, you and your dental practitioner will talk about the details of the procedure and your dental practitioner will answer any questions you may have. Your dental practitioner will then apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special 3D imaging camera to take a photo of your tooth. Using the brand-new software, your restoration will be designed according to your tooth's appropriate form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to produce your restoration from a piece of ceramic. Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

Today's Topic Will Be:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a procedure in which we use a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be utilized in certain situations where a tooth has actually been broken or ended up being stained. These are typically minor repairs, ones that can be resolved through this reasonably inexpensive methods rather than through a more expensive dental treatment.

Here Is How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to alter the alignment of the tooth, close gaps in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material adheres to the surface area. Then the material itself is placed on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to obtain a glossy finish as a last step.
