What Are Single Day Dental Crowns?

It is a innovation for fixing broken teeth, and this restoration can be finished in a single appointment at our office. It makes your teeth stronger and more stunning - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the state-of-the-art ceramic material and is compatible with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

During your appointment, you and your dental practitioner will go over the details of the procedure and your dentist will address any questions you may have relating to the treatment or porcelain crowns in general.

Your dental practitioner will then use a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique 3D imaging camera to take a photo of your tooth. Using the new proprietary software, your restoration will be created according to your tooth's suitable shape and function.

Then, it will use a diamond burs to produce your restoration from a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

Today's Topic Is About:

Tooth Veneers (Porcelain)

Veneers are a really thin pieces of resilient, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental lab. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a gorgeous and attractive smile.

Veneers can completely reshape your teeth and smile. They can commonly be alternatives to crowns and the ideal option in treating many cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Similar to a lot of dental restorations, veneers may at some point require replacement; however, they are still very durable and will last years, giving you a long lasting, beautiful smile.

How Are Veneers Applied?

Veneers are a dental treatment where a covering is put over the outside (noticeable area) of the tooth. Veneers are normally only done to the part of the teeth that are seen when talking or smiling. The procedure can be direct or indirect.

The direct strategy generally involves positioning composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This method is normally referred to as bonding.

The indirect strategy normally involves two visits because the veneers will be made at a dental laboratory. At the first visit the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are provided a short-term covering. In 2 to 3 weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The laboratory fabricated veneers are usually made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are really esthetic.

The benefit of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the treatment is generally less uncomfortable. Veneers are not advised for teeth that have huge fillings or little tooth structure.

You will receive care instructions for your veneers. Appropriate brushing, flossing and regular dental visits will aid in the life of your brand-new and lovely veneers.
