Temporary crowns and 2nd visits for crowns are now usually unnecessary thanks to the same day crown technology. We offer this amazing one-visit crown innovation in our office, adding greater convenience to the procedure of getting a crown. The waiting time between your treatment and when you get your long-term crown is eliminated.

The same day crown innovation is an instrument that permits ceramic restorations (veneers, inlays, onlays, and crowns) to be carried out in one visit instead of 2. The computer collaborates with a wireless digital camera enabling the dental practitioner to make digital impressions without the annoyance of bulky impression material.

After taking the picture the computer takes over and mills your custom crown immediately so that we can cement your brand-new crown that very same day. The results we see are incredible. With the same day crowns, the strength, aesthetics, and fit of the ceramic restorations are outstanding.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of locations requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used for a full scope of indications: veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns and anterior crowns.

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the number one aesthetic concern of most clients, there are a number of ways to lighten teeth. The most popular method is using a home tooth bleaching system that will whiten teeth significantly. Because tooth lightening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is necessary to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after lightening so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use a number of methods: customizeded tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray technique involves having impressions taken, which the lab makes into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole process takes about a week of day-to-day use. Three different strengths of gel may be used, however, the higher the strength, the higher the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is advised for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take numerous months of use to see significant color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very quick and practical whitening procedure. The visit is approximately one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients love this treatment due to the fact that it is so easy and quick!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays need to be used every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
