Step One, high resolution digital 3-D impressions are taken with a small camera, a unique camera developed just for this function.

Second, the new software analyzes the whole image and uses the results to determine a number of outstanding restoration possibilities. Next those possibilities are examined and refined by the doctor and the final restoration plan is selected.

Today's Subject Is:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of many patients, there are multiple methods to whiten teeth. The most popular technique is using a home tooth bleaching system that will bleach teeth significantly. Since tooth bleaching just works on natural tooth enamel, it is necessary to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize numerous approaches: custom made tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray technique involves having impressions taken, which the lab fabricates into custom-made vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole procedure takes about a week of day-to-day use. 3 different strengths of gel might be utilized, however, the greater the strength, the higher the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray method is recommended for badly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take numerous months of use to see significant color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a extremely quick and hassle-free lightening procedure. The visit is around one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our clients like this treatment due to the fact that it is so easy and quick!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up might be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays ought to be utilized every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
