Same day crowns are an innovative dental technology that is utilized for the restoration of decayed, cracked, or cracked teeth. This innovation can develop complete crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers. The same day crown machine crafts a restoration in a matter of minutes.

Same day crown restorations are made from compressed porcelain. It is for this reason that they are more durable than lab restorations, which are layered porcelain. The most beneficial feature of getting a same day crown restoration is that it is achieved in one appointment. In addition to the benefit of a one appointment restoration, there is no uncomfortable impression material to bite on or a temporary crown to wear.

The procedure for placement of a same day crown restoration is very simple. The first step is to get rid of all degeneration from the tooth. The dentist will then form the tooth in preparation to take a digital photo. The tooth is then sprayed with a very fine powder. This permits the digital camera to take an appropriate image. When this image is captured, the tooth will appear on a computer screen in 3D. This will allow the dentist to create the restoration right in front of you.

As soon as the design is completed, the same day crown machine will mill the restoration. This step takes approximately 15 minutes. You can actually view this procedure if you would like. When the restoration is finished milling, the dentist will put the restoration on your tooth.

Today We Will Be Talking About:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Discovering problems with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, pricey procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mostly used to identify:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have multiple advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The concern of direct exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Large on-screen X-rays make client communication more efficient. The immediate observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has significantly improved the practice of dentistry. It allows the client and the physician to see images of the teeth in greater resolution on a big format for much easier detection of problems, all while decreasing the radiation exposure to the client. The process we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available instantly after exposure, eliminating the wait and effort spent establishing and mounting x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done immediately. Digital format also enables us to send and get your images electronically for consultation that can be presented to you rapidly.
