The Benefits Of Using Same Day Crowns Are:

  • It is time-saving. It permits you to have your dental crown put in place in simply one dental visit.

  • Its material is biocompatible. Same day crowns use ceramic which copies the appearance of your natural teeth therefore making it aesthetically pleasing. It does not trigger temperature sensitivity which holds true when it comes to dental crowns made from metals.

  • It is durable. Same day crowns have the same toughness as those made from gold materials.

  • It is more accurate. The impression made from this brand-new technology is more accurate compared with traditional impressions.

  • Taking dental impression is more comfortable. Same day crowns use intraoral camera and CAD to take the impression of the tooth while standard dental impression is done using sodium alignate.

The only downside of a same day crown is that not all clients are candidates for this treatment. Patients with substantial tooth damage that has actually reached the gum line requires a traditional crown instead of a same day crown. Also, the damage in the front tooth requires a laboratory-manufactured crown since they are meticulously made than same day crowns.

TMJ (Temporal Mandibular Joint)

TMJ stands for temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint might be caused by a misalignment of the teeth, trauma, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and five muscles are associated with the area. If something fails a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Trouble or soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, in some cases extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can consist of replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Sometimes a plastic mouthpiece is utilized to prevent clenching or grinding that is contributing to the problem. If unattended and required to extremes, surgery might be required to fix a terribly damaged joint.
