Same Day Dental Crowns With Advanced Technology

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are occurring in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown technology in our office. It enables us to create crowns and bigger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most sophisticated dental innovation, consisting of 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM innovation. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The entire procedure takes between 1-2 hours and can be finished in one sitting.

Usually, a crown in the past would have needed two appointments. The very first visit includes preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a temporary crown. Throughout the second visit, the temporary crown is replaced with the long-term one. With a same day crown, the entire treatment can be finished in simply one visit. We will use video imaging technology to take a photo of the tooth and use CAD/CAM technology to develop the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly transferred to a milling machine that carves the restoration out of a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the brand-new crown to your tooth. This eliminates the need to get a short-term along with a 2nd visit.

Corrective dentistry procedures can be essential to the overall health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a visit.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of areas needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used for a wide range of indications: inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns and veneers.

Today's Subject Will Be:

Dental Dentures

There are different kinds of dentures, however they share their common function. They replace teeth that have become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is great enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. Nobody enjoys losing their natural teeth, however you can still eat and talk regularly.

The entire mouth is examined and a determination is made regarding which teeth will have to be removed, and which will remain. The loose teeth are then removed. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending upon the type. There is an adjustment period after dentures are positioned in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. Once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular performance and appearance return and one simply continues as usual. Often implants can be utilized to further support the dentures.

It is necessary to keep in mind that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a significant lifestyle change when compared to natural teeth. Dentures impact the kind of food you have the ability to eat, your self-confidence in social situations, and even your self-confidence.

A Couple Reasons For Considering A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the very same arch

  • Restore chewing capability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other treatments

An upper complete denture will usually feel much better than a lower full denture. In order to drastically improve the fit of a lower complete denture, we often suggest using dental implants as a retentive mechanism. Two dental implants put in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and significantly enhance comfort. Sometimes, the implants can even be put in the jaw after a denture has actually been in use for multiple years.
