What Are Single Visit Crowns?

The same day crown is a innovation for restoring broken teeth, and this restoration can be finished in a single visit to the dental practitioner's office. It makes your teeth tougher and more beautiful, all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free, and the state-of-the-art ceramic material works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

The Same Day Crown Process

During your visit, you and your dental practitioner will talk about the information of the treatment and your dentist will address any concerns you may have. Your dental practitioner will then apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique 3D imaging camera to take a image of your tooth. Using the new software, your restoration will be developed according to your tooth's proper form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to create your restoration out of a piece of ceramic. Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of areas requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used for a wide scope of indications: inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns and veneers.

The Discussion Of The Day Will Be:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a procedure where we apply a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be used in certain circumstances where a tooth has actually been damaged or ended up being stained. These are normally small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this reasonably affordable means rather than through a more expensive dental procedure.

How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to change the alignment of the tooth, close spaces in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material sticks to the surface area. Then the material itself is put on the tooth and solidified with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to obtain a shiny finish as a last step.
