Single Day Crowns And Teeth Restorations

Do you need to get a dental crown? Or will you soon be requiring a dental treatment that will cause you to need a dental crown? If so, you may be starting to dread the time you will have to invest at the dentist's office. At our dental practice, we provide a excellent time-saving option for you. We offer same day crowns at our practice!

At our practice we are proud to have expert and highly-trained dental practitioners on staff. At our dental practice we integrate state-of-the-art innovations and procedures to offer our clients with the very best restorative, preventive, implant, and cosmetic dentistry care. For patients who have to get dental crowns, we are very happy to be able to provide same day crowns.

Crowns and caps are 2 various names for the same thing. A dental crown is a restoration that is normally made of porcelain. It is a strong structure that is used to cover a tooth on all 4 sides to help reinforce the tooth and enhance its function.

Crowns can also be used to attach bridges, as the top part of a dental implant, or to prevent a damaged tooth from becoming weaker. Crowns can also be used to strengthen a tooth after a root canal procedure.

Crowns are also used for purely aesthetic reasons, such as to cover a seriously discolored tooth that needs to be restored to its original, attractive appearance.

Typically getting a dental crown is a lengthy treatment. The dental practitioner will need to take impressions, offer you with a short-term crown, wait for the crown to be returned from a laboratory, then have you come back to the office so that it can be permanently connected. Today at our practice patients can get same day crowns in about two hours.

Our same day crowns are developed in our practice thanks to our CAD-CAM innovation.

CAD-CAM represents "computer-aided-design-computer-aided-manufacture." Computers are used to take images which are then computer-analyzed and used to produce a crown.

This crown is actually milled by a computer in our office. The crown will fit your mouth precisely and remove any need to send impressions or images to an outside laboratory.

All this is done while you wait, eliminating the need to come back for a second appointment.

You also will not need to get a short-term crown, because our long-term crown will be instantly offered to you.

If you would like to meet our dentist to find out more about same day crowns or to obtain a same day crown, call our practice.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of locations requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to produce your crown.

Today's Topic Will Be About:

Root Canal (Endodontic Treatment)

Root canal treatment (also described as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is necessary when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and detect issues early). In some cases deep restorations or trauma to a tooth might also trigger the nerve to be harmed to the point it requires root canal treatment. Once this happens, the pulp ends up being infected, and can even extend through the root tip and begin to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it has to be treated, and can not heal by itself. It can even deteriorate the whole immune system. This is dangerous, and might be really painful. Signs that the pulp has ended up being infected might include sensitivity to hot/cold or sugary foods, discomfort, swelling, discomfort to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. In some cases, however, no symptoms are apparent and the person is unaware of any issue up until a checkup.

A root canal is then carried out to clean out the infected tooth pulp, and disinfect the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to extract the tooth. Once the infection is resolved, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any more infection. Normally a core build-up and crown is suggested for recovering a tooth that has had root canal treatment.
