Same day crowns are an innovative dental technology that is used for the restoration of decayed, cracked, or cracked teeth. This technology can develop complete crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers. The same day crown device crafts a restoration in a matter of minutes.

Same day crown restorations are made of compressed porcelain. It is for this reason that they are stronger than lab restorations, which are layered porcelain. The most useful feature of receiving a same day crown restoration is that it is accomplished in one appointment. In addition to the benefit of a one visit restoration, there is no uncomfortable impression product to bite on or a temporary crown to wear.

The procedure for placement of a same day crown restoration is really basic. The primary step is to remove all decay from the tooth. The dentist will then shape the tooth in preparation to take a digital photo. The tooth is then sprayed with a very fine powder. This allows the digital camera to take an acceptable image. Once this image is recorded, the tooth will appear on a computer screen in 3D. This will enable the dentist to develop the restoration right in front of you.

As soon as the design is completed, the same day crown device will mill the restoration. This step takes approximately 15 minutes. You can actually see this process if you would like. When the restoration is finished milling, the dental practitioner will place the restoration on your tooth.

Today's Topic Has To Do With:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Spotting issues with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, expensive treatments or surgeries. X-rays are mainly used to spot:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have numerous advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The concern of direct exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Big on-screen X-rays make client communication more efficient. The immediate observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and precisely.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It enables the client and the medical professional to see pictures of the teeth in higher resolution on a big format for much easier detection of issues, all while reducing the radiation exposure to the patient. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available instantly after exposure, eliminating the wait and effort spent establishing and mounting x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done immediately. Digital format also allows us to send and get your images electronically for consultation that can be presented to you rapidly.
