Single Visit Crowns And Teeth Restorations

Do you need to get a dental crown? Or will you soon be requiring a dental procedure that will cause you to need a dental crown? If so, you may be beginning to dread the time you will need to invest at the dentist's office. At our dental practice, we offer a great time-saving solution for you. We offer same day crowns at our practice!

At our practice we are proud to have expert and highly-trained dental practitioners on staff. At our dental practice we incorporate cutting edge innovations and procedures to offer our patients with the very best restorative, precautionary, implant, and cosmetic dentistry care. For patients who need to get dental crowns, we are extremely pleased to be able to offer same day crowns.

Crowns and caps are 2 various names for the same thing. A dental crown is a restoration that is typically made from porcelain. It is a strong structure that is used to cover a tooth on all four sides to help reinforce the tooth and enhance its function.

Crowns can also be used to attach bridges, as the top part of a dental implant, or to prevent a damaged tooth from becoming weaker. Crowns can also be used to reinforce a tooth after a root canal procedure.

Crowns are also used for purely aesthetic reasons, such as to cover a badly stained tooth that needs to be brought back to its initial, attractive look.

Normally getting a dental crown is a lengthy procedure. The dentist will have to take impressions, provide you with a temporary crown, wait for the crown to be returned from a laboratory, and after that have you return to the office so that it can be permanently connected. Today at our practice clients can get same day crowns in about two hours.

Our same day crowns are created in our practice thanks to our CAD-CAM innovation.

CAD-CAM means "computer-aided-design-computer-aided-manufacture." Computers are used to take images which are then computer-analyzed and used to produce a crown.

This crown is actually milled by a computer in our office. The crown will fit your mouth exactly and eliminate any need to send impressions or images to an outside laboratory.

All this is done while you wait, getting rid of the need to return for a second visit.

You also will not have to get a short-term crown, because our long-term crown will be instantly offered to you.

If you want to meet with our dental practitioner for more information about same day crowns or to obtain a same day crown, call our practice.

The Conversation Of The Day Is:

Dental Bonding (Composite)

Bonding is a procedure where we apply a tooth-colored composite material to a tooth, shape it, allow it to solidify, and polish it. It can be utilized in specific situations where a tooth has actually been broken or become stained. These are generally small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this reasonably affordable means rather than through a more costly dental procedure.

How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to fix damage done to the tooth by decay, to modify the positioning of the tooth, close gaps in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material adheres to the surface. Then the material itself is placed on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to get a lustrous finish as a last step.
