SAME DAY DENTAL CROWNS

Updated On Saturday, June 23, 2018 05:25:03 AM

If you have a fractured or broken tooth, are experiencing pain when chewing or exposed to hot or cold temperatures, or wish to get rid of unsightly metal crowns or fillings, then dental crowns might be a good alternative for you. Dental Crowns cover the outter surface of the affected tooth, adding toughness and stability to it.

Same-day dental crowns are an option that we offer on a case by case basis to patients who would benefit from the procedure. They enable patients to come to our office and leave within a couple hours with their final dental crown in place that same day. This removes the need to have a short-term crown placed then another check-up set up for the placement of the final crown.

Our Same-Day Crowns are made with our new technology that scans the mouth to obtain the appropriate measurements of your tooth and surrounding teeth, and then makes your crown right there in the office. These restorations are very strong and durable and constructed out of the highest quality porcelain available. In some cases, a gold crown might be suggested for your posterior teeth (back teeth) if you grind or clench your teeth a lot.

Gold crowns are different from porcelain crowns, and the cost may differ between the two and you might wish to talk about your budget too with the your dentist. Your dentist will discuss with you the kinds of crowns available and offer you a suggestion based on your certain circumstance.

Call us to schedule a complimentary cosmetic consultation. We look forward to talking to you.

The Discussion Of The Day Will Be:

Dentures (Dental)

There are different types of dentures, however they share their common function. They replace teeth that have become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is big enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk regularly.

The entire mouth is analyzed and a determination is made as to which teeth will have to be removed, and which will stay. The loose teeth are then removed. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending upon the type. There is an adjustment period after dentures are placed in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the normal functionality and appearance return and one just continues as usual. Commonly implants can be used to further support the dentures.

It is important to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a significant lifestyle change when as compared to natural teeth. Dentures impact the type of food you have the ability to eat, your self-confidence in social scenarios, as well as your self-esteem.

Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the exact same arch

  • Restore chewing capability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other treatments

An upper complete denture will often feel better than a lower full denture. In order to drastically enhance the fit of a lower full denture, we often suggest utilizing dental implants as a retentive mechanism. Two dental implants placed in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and substantially enhance comfort. Often, the implants can even be put in the jaw after a denture has been in use for multiple years.
