Exactly What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

There are numerous benefits to having treatment with same day crowns over conventional, laboratory-made restorations.

  • Everything is carried out in a single visit, you only have to visit the dentist one time, take one day away from your routine to have the treatment, instead of the normal 2 or three visits.

  • Only one anesthetic injections, given that the whole procedure can be carried out within an hour you just need to have one injection.

  • Your dentist is in complete control of the final result, since the crown or inlay are designed and produced from start to finish by your dentist, they have total control over how it will look and fit.

  • No temporary restorations, which can often fall off in between appointments if they are not cared for correctly.

Today's Discussion Is About:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a treatment in which we use a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be used in certain circumstances where a tooth has been damaged or become stained. These are normally small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this reasonably affordable ways rather than through a more costly dental treatment.

Here Is How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to change the alignment of the tooth, close gaps between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughened in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material sticks to the surface area. Then the material itself is put on the tooth and solidified with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to obtain a lustrous finish as a last step.
