Temporary crowns and second visits for crowns are now usually unnecessary thanks to the same day crown innovation. We offer this exciting one-visit crown innovation in our office, adding higher convenience to the process of getting a crown. The waiting time between your procedure and when you get your permanent crown is eliminated.

The same day crown innovation is an instrument that permits ceramic restorations (veneers, inlays, onlays, and crowns) to be performed in one visit instead of 2. The computer collaborates with a digital camera enabling the dental practitioner to make digital impressions without the annoyance of bulky impression material.

After taking the picture the computer takes control and mills your custom crown right away so that we can cement your brand-new crown that very same day. The results we see are amazing. With the same day crowns, the fit, strength, and aesthetics of the ceramic restorations are outstanding.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of locations requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to produce your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a broad scope of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

The Discussion Of The Day Will Be:

Root Canal

Root canal treatment (also described as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is required when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and identify problems early). Often deep restorations or trauma to a tooth might also cause the nerve to be damaged to the point it needs root canal therapy. When this takes place, the pulp ends up being infected, and can even extend through the root tip and start to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it has to be treated, and can not recover on its own. It can even weaken the whole immune system. This is dangerous, and might be extremely uncomfortable. Signs that the pulp has ended up being infected might include sensitivity to hot/cold or sweets, pain, swelling, discomfort to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. Often, however, no signs are apparent and the individual is unaware of any issue until a checkup.

A root canal is then carried out to clean out the infected tooth pulp, and disinfect the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to remove the tooth. Once the infection is resolved, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any more infection. Typically a core build-up and crown is suggested for restoring a tooth that has had root canal treatment.
