DENTAL CROWN SAME DAY

Updated On Monday, June 25, 2018 12:04:19 AM

Temporary crowns and 2nd visits for crowns are now usually unnecessary thanks to the same day crown technology. We provide this amazing one-visit crown technology in our office, adding higher convenience to the procedure of getting a crown. The waiting time in between your procedure and when you get your permanent crown is eliminated.

The same day crown innovation is an instrument that allows ceramic restorations (veneers, inlays, onlays, and crowns) to be performed in one visit instead of two. The computer collaborates with a digital camera allowing the dental practitioner to make digital impressions without the annoyance of bulky impression material.

After taking the picture the computer takes over and mills your custom-made crown right away so that we can cement your new crown that very same day. The results we see are remarkable. With the same day crowns, the strength, aesthetics, and fit of the ceramic restorations are exceptional.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a wide range of indications: anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns and posterior crowns.

Today's Subject Will Be:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the primary aesthetic concern of the majority of clients, there are a number of ways to lighten teeth. The most popular method is using a home tooth bleaching system that will whiten teeth dramatically. Since tooth lightening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is necessary to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize multiple techniques: customizeded tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office bleaching.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory produces into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole procedure takes about a week of day-to-day use. Three various strengths of gel might be used, however, the higher the strength, the higher the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is advised for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take numerous months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really fast and convenient lightening procedure. The appointment is approximately one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our patients love this treatment because it is so easy and quick!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up might be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays need to be utilized every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
