Our practice likes brand-new technology, specifically when it improves the dental care that we can provide to our patients. Because of this we now provide same day crowns.

Same day crowns are a terrific new technology where lovely all porcelain crowns are developed within 2 hours of the prep work of a tooth for a crown. The old procedure was where the dental practitioner prepared your tooth for a crown, took an impression and sent this impression to a lab to get the crown built. Throughout this time the patient would have to wear a short-term plastic crown that was normally uncomfy.

Today, our equipment enables us to scan the tooth preparation and mill out a brand-new all porcelain crown within two hours. This means that the client leaves our office with the permanent crown that day!

  • There's no need to wear a short-term crown for 2 to 3 weeks.

  • There's no need to return again to have the one day crown placed on your tooth.

  • There's no need to be numbed up once again! No more shots!

Our office chooses same day crowns because it is made of beautiful material as well as extremely long lasting.

If your interested in a same day crown, please give our office a call.

Today We Will Be Talking About:

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device designed to replace missing teeth. The device is typically constructed out of titanium and is surgically placed into the jawbone where the tooth is missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and conventional bridges or dentures may not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some people, dental implants offer a smile that looks and feels very natural. Surgically placed below the gums over a series of appointments, implants connect to the jawbone and act as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants provide stability due to the fact that they connect to your bone, a process called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some individuals also find the secure fit is more comfortable than conventional alternatives. Prospects for dental implants have to have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

How Involving Is A Dental Implant?

A dental implant might be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this procedure, a small titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which in addition slows or stops the bone loss that takes place when the root of a natural tooth is missing. As soon as the implant is firmly embeded in the mouth, the dentist then works to connect the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent solution has the advantages over bridge work that it does not need the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth wear out, another can simply be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be utilized as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an alternative to partial dentures, and has multiple advantages. First, there is no adjustment period to acclimatize the client who, when the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no pain or trouble in eating. And, best of all, of course, they don't need to be taken out all the time.
