How Can Same Day Crowns Help Me?

With this new innovation it allows dental practitioners to custom-craft restorations in just one hour. With this, we can produce natural looking crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers here in our office while you relax. Now, there is no longer a need to make numerous appointments to the dental practitioner's office to be measured and fitted with temporary restorations - you can take pleasure in a fantastic, natural looking, and durable option for your missing or damaged teeth today.

Initially, your dental practitioner will meet with you to go over the information of the procedure. Throughout the procedure, the dentist will put a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique camera to take a photo of your tooth.

Using the brand-new software, the picture functions as a map to develop your tooth's restoration. Then, it will use a diamond bur and disk-work to produce your restoration piece out of ceramic.

Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

It makes your teeth stronger and more lovely - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the top-quality ceramic material is compatible with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Today's Subject Is:

Teeth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of many patients, there are a number of methods to whiten teeth. The most popular technique is utilizing a home tooth bleaching system that will whiten teeth considerably. Because tooth lightening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the recently bleached teeth.

Most dentists use numerous techniques: customizeded tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory makes into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is put in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole procedure takes about a week of daily use. 3 different strengths of gel may be used, however, the greater the strength, the higher the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is recommended for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take numerous months of use to see considerable color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very fast and practical bleaching procedure. The visit is around one hour including both the preparation and treatment. Our patients enjoy this treatment since it is so easy and quick!

Tooth whitening is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays should be utilized every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
