Our practice likes new innovations, specifically when it enhances the dental care that we can offer to our clients. Because of this we now provide same day crowns.

Same day crowns are a wonderful new innovation where lovely all porcelain crowns are developed within two hours of the prep work of a tooth for a crown. The old process was where the dental practitioner prepared your tooth for a crown, took an impression and sent this impression to a laboratory to have the crown constructed. During this time the patient would have to have a short-term plastic crown that was normally uncomfy.

Today, our equipment enables us to scan the tooth preparation and mill out a brand-new all porcelain crown within 2 hours. This means that the client leaves our office with the final crown that day!

  • There is no need to have a temporary crown for 2 or 3 weeks.

  • There's no need to return once more to have the single day crown placed on your tooth.

  • There is no need to be numbed up once more! No more shot needles!

Our practice prefers same day crowns since it is made of stunning material and also exceptionally resilient.

If your thinking about a same day crown, please give our practice a call.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital images of areas requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to produce your crown.

Today's Topic Will Be:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Detecting issues with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, pricey procedures or surgeries. X-rays are primarily utilized to discover:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have a number of advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The worry of exposure to excess radiation is eliminated.

Large on-screen X-rays make patient communication more efficient. The instant observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and accurately.

Digital radiography has greatly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It allows the client and the medical professional to see pictures of the teeth in higher resolution on a large format for much easier detection of problems, all while decreasing the radiation exposure to the client. The process we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available instantly after exposure, eliminating the wait and effort spent developing and mounting x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done instantly. Digital format also allows us to send out and receive your images electronically for consultation that can be presented to you rapidly.
