Why Choose Single Visit Crowns?

There are lots of advantages of single visit crowns over standard crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one visit, saving you significant time away from your job and family.

  • Convenience: With same day crowns, there is no requirement for a short-term crown, which eliminates significant possible pain and inconvenience of a lost temporary restoration. Only one visit means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was formerly treated with a root canal. No traditional impressions which means there is no gagging.

  • Looks: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this new innovation restores your teeth to their natural strength, beauty, and function and carefully match the structure of natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is stronger than the standard method of layering and pressing, so your smile will stay stunning for many years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and technology can also be used for fillings. Because they are made out of porcelain, they are more long lasting than white composite fillings. They are a lot more aesthetic than mercury consisting of silver fillings and stronger because of bonding technology.

If you have any more questions about same day crowns or porcelain crowns, please feel free to contact our office today. We will answer any questions you have and you can make an appointment to talk to our dental practitioner in person.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of locations needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

Today Were Discussing:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Identifying issues with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, pricey treatments or surgeries. X-rays are mostly utilized to discover:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have multiple advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays allow us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The worry of direct exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Large on-screen X-rays make patient communication more effective. The immediate observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and precisely.

Digital radiography has significantly improved the practice of dentistry. It allows the patient and the doctor to see pictures of the teeth in higher resolution on a large format for easier detection of issues, all while reducing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The process we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available immediately after exposure, getting rid of the wait and effort spent establishing and installing x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done right away. Digital format also enables us to send out and receive your images electronically for consultation that can be provided to you quickly.
