Same Day Dental Crowns - A Smart Innovation

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are occurring in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown innovation in our office. It allows us to develop crowns and larger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most sophisticated dental innovation, consisting of 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM technology. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The whole treatment takes between 1-2 hours and can be completed in one sitting.

Typically, a crown in the past would have needed 2 appointments. The first visit includes preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a short-term crown. During the second appointment, the temporary crown is replaced with the long-term one. With a same day crown, the whole procedure can be completed in simply one visit. We will use video imaging innovation to take a photo of the tooth and use CAD/CAM technology to create the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly transferred to a milling device that carves the restoration out of a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the new crown to your tooth. This removes the need to wear a temporary as well as a 2nd appointment.

Restorative dentistry procedures can be very important to the overall health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a visit.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of areas requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used for a full range of indications: veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns and anterior crowns.

The Conversation Of The Day Is:

Dentures (Dental)

There are various types of dentures, however they share their common function. They replace teeth that have actually become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is big enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. No one enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk regularly.

The whole mouth is analyzed and a decision is made as to which teeth will have to be removed, and which will stay. The loose teeth are then extracted. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending on the type. There is an adjustment time after dentures are placed in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. But once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular performance and appearance return and one just continues as usual. Commonly implants can be utilized to further support the dentures.

It is very important to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a major lifestyle change when compared with natural teeth. Dentures impact the kind of food you have the ability to eat, your confidence in social scenarios, as well as your self-esteem.

A Few Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the exact same arch

  • Restore chewing ability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper full denture will almost always feel better than a lower complete denture. In order to considerably improve the fit of a lower complete denture, we regularly recommend utilizing dental implants as a retentive mechanism. 2 dental implants placed in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and significantly enhance comfort. Often, the implants can even be put in the jaw after a denture has been in use for multiple years.
