Thanks to innovative modern innovations, we are proud to present the ability to provide you with same day crowns - that's right, a new crown in just one appointment! Here's how it works.

First, high resolution digital 3-D impressions are taken with a little camera, a special camera created just for this function.

Second, the brand-new software examines the whole image and uses the results to determine a number of exceptional restoration possibilities. Next those possibilities are analyzed and fine-tuned by the doctor and the final restoration plan is selected.

Step 3 your new crown is made by the cerec machine right in our office and put in your mouth, all in one visit!

If you wish to understand more about the same day crown procedure, call our office and we would be more than happy to help you.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of locations needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a broad scope of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

Today We Will Be Going Over:

Porcelain Veneers (Tooth)

Veneers are a really thin pieces of resilient, tooth shaped, porcelain that are customizeded (for shape and color) by a professional dental laboratory. They are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a stunning and attractive smile.

Veneers can entirely improve your teeth and smile. They can often be alternatives to crowns and the perfect option in treating many cosmetic dental conditions for the front teeth.

Just like the majority of dental restorations, veneers may one day require replacement; however, they are still very resilient and will last many years, providing you a long lasting, gorgeous smile.

How Are Veneers Applied?

Veneers are a dental treatment where a covering is put over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are normally only done to the part of the teeth that are visible when talking or grinning. The treatment can be direct or indirect.

The direct strategy generally involves placing composite resin on the outside of the tooth using bonding. This approach is usually referred to as bonding.

The indirect strategy normally involves two visits because the veneers will be produced at a dental lab. At the first appointment the teeth are prepared, impressions taken, and the teeth are given a temporary covering. In two to three weeks the veneers are back from the lab, the temporaries are removed and the veneers are bonded to the teeth. The lab fabricated veneers are generally made using porcelain or pressed ceramic, and are very esthetic.

The benefit of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth material is eliminated, and the treatment is normally less uncomfortable. Veneers are not advised for teeth that have large fillings or little tooth structure.

You will get care directions for your veneers. Correct brushing, flossing and routine dental visits will aid in the life of your new and beautiful veneers.
