What Are Same Day Crowns?

The single visit crown is a technology for restoring broken teeth, and this restoration can be finished in a single visit to the dental practitioner's office. It makes your teeth stronger and more lovely, all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free, and the state-of-the-art ceramic material is compatible with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

More About The Single Visit Crown Process

During your visit, you and your dentist will discuss the details of the procedure and your dentist will answer any concerns you might have. Your dentist will then use a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special 3D imaging camera to take a image of your tooth. Using the brand-new software, your restoration will be created according to your tooth's appropriate form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to produce your restoration from a piece of ceramic. Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take precise digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

CEREC can be used for a broad range of indications: posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays and partial crowns.

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of a lot of patients, there are multiple methods to bleach teeth. The most popular method is using a home tooth bleaching system that will lighten teeth significantly. Because tooth whitening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after bleaching so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use a number of approaches: customizeded tray bleaching, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray method involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory makes into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole process takes about a week of everyday use. Three different strengths of gel may be utilized, however, the higher the strength, the greater the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray approach is suggested for badly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take numerous months of use to see significant color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a really quick and hassle-free bleaching procedure. The appointment is approximately one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients enjoy this treatment because it is so easy and fast!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up might be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For maintenance of whitened teeth the trays ought to be used every couple of months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (excessive fluoridation throughout tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
