Our practice likes brand-new technology, especially when it improves the dental care that we can supply to our patients. Because of this we now offer same day crowns.

Same day crowns are a remarkable new innovation where stunning all porcelain crowns are developed within two hours of the preparation of a tooth for a crown. The old procedure was where the dentist prepared your tooth for a crown, took an impression and sent this impression to a lab to have the crown constructed. During this time the client would have to have a short-term plastic crown that was normally uncomfy.

Today, our equipment allows us to scan the tooth preparation and mill out a new all porcelain crown within 2 hours. This means that the patient leaves our office with the final crown that day!

  • There's no need to have a temporary crown for two to three weeks.

  • There is no need to return once more to have the one day crown placed on your tooth.

  • There is no need to be numbed up once again! No more shots!

Our office likes same day crowns since it is made of gorgeous material as well as exceptionally long lasting.

If your interested in a same day crown, please give our practice a call.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of locations requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used in a full range of indications: anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns and posterior crowns.

Temporal-Mandibular Joint

TMJ means temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint may be caused by a misalignment of the teeth, trauma, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and 5 muscles are associated with the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, in some cases extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling spaces between teeth, and so on. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Often a plastic mouth piece is utilized to prevent clenching or grinding that is contributing to the problem. If untreated and required to extremes, surgery may be needed to repair a severely damaged joint.
