Can Same Day Crowns Help Me?

With this new technology it permits dental practitioners to custom-craft restorations in just one hour. With this, we can make natural looking crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers here in our office while you relax. Now, there is no longer a need to make multiple trips to the dental practitioner's office to be measured and fitted with short-term restorations - you can take pleasure in a brilliant, natural looking, and resilient solution for your missing or broken teeth today.

Initially, your dental practitioner will meet with you to talk about the details of the treatment. Throughout the procedure, the dentist will apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special camera to take a picture of your tooth.

Using the brand-new software, the picture works as a map to create your tooth's restoration. Then, it will use a diamond bur and disk-work to create your restoration piece from ceramic.

Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

It makes your teeth tougher and more lovely - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the high-grade ceramic product is compatible with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of locations needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a full scope of indications: veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns and anterior crowns.

Today's Discussion Has To Do With:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental problems.

Detecting issues with x-rays before they end up being problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, costly treatments or surgeries. X-rays are primarily utilized to find:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have multiple advantages over conventional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from conventional dental x-rays. The concern of direct exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Big on-screen X-rays make patient communication more efficient. The instant observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and properly.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It enables the patient and the physician to see pictures of the teeth in higher resolution on a huge format for easier detection of issues, all while reducing the radiation exposure to the patient. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available immediately after exposure, removing the wait and effort spent developing and installing x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done instantly. Digital format also enables us to send and get your images electronically for consultation that can be presented to you quickly.
