More About The Same Day Crown Process

During your visit, you and your dental practitioner will talk about the details of the treatment and your dentist will address any concerns you may have. Your dentist will then use a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique 3D imaging camera to take a image of your tooth. Using the new software, your restoration will be developed according to your tooth's appropriate form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to produce your restoration out of a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

Dentures (Dental)

There are different types of dentures, but they share their common function. They replace teeth that have actually become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is big enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. Nobody enjoys losing their natural teeth, however you can still eat and talk regularly.

The whole mouth is examined and a determination is made as to which teeth will have to be removed, and which will remain. The loose teeth are then extracted. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending upon the type. There is an adjustment time after dentures are put in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. Once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular functionality and look return and one just continues as usual. Often implants can be used to further stabilize the dentures.

It is very important to note that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a major lifestyle change when compared to natural teeth. Dentures affect the kind of food you have the ability to eat, your self-confidence in social scenarios, as well as your self-esteem.

Reasons For Considering A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the same arch

  • Restore chewing ability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper full denture will almost always feel much better than a lower full denture. In order to drastically improve the fit of a lower complete denture, we often suggest using dental implants as a retentive mechanism. Two dental implants positioned in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and substantially improve comfort. In some cases, the implants can even be put in the jaw after a denture has actually been in use for multiple years.
