Exactly What Are The Advantages Of Same Day Crowns?

There are numerous advantages to having treatment with same day crowns over conventional, laboratory-made restorations.

  • Everything is carried out in a single appointment, you just have to visit the dentist once, take one day away from your routine to have the procedure, instead of the typical two or three appointments.

  • Only one anesthetic injections, because the whole procedure can be carried out within an hour you only need to have one injection.

  • Your dentist is in complete control of the final result, given that the crown or inlay are designed and produced from start to finish by your dental practitioner, they have overall control over how it will fit and look.

  • No temporary restorations, which can often fall off between visits if they are not looked after properly.

Today We Will Be Discussing:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Identifying problems with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the need for more extensive, costly treatments or surgeries. X-rays are mainly utilized to discover:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have numerous advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The worry of exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Large on-screen X-rays make patient communication more effective. The instant observation of the images on the screen enables us to discuss your dental health quickly and precisely.

Digital radiography has greatly improved the practice of dentistry. It enables the patient and the doctor to see images of the teeth in greater resolution on a big format for much easier detection of issues, all while decreasing the radiation direct exposure to the patient. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, resulting in clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available instantly after exposure, getting rid of the wait and effort spent developing and mounting x-rays. If an image has to be retaken, it can be done right away. Digital format also enables us to send and get your images digitally for consultation that can be presented to you quickly.
