Schedule an appointment for same day crowns in our office today. Our office is pleased to have the most recent innovation for same day crowns.

We always remain on the cutting-edge for our valued patients!

What Are Single Visit Dental Crowns?

It is a innovation for fixing damaged teeth, and this restoration can be completed in a single appointment at our office. It makes your teeth stronger and more gorgeous - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the top-quality ceramic material and is compatible with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Throughout your visit, you and your dental practitioner will discuss the details of the treatment and your dentist will answer any questions you might have regarding the procedure or porcelain crowns in general.

Your dental practitioner will then apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special 3D imaging camera to take a picture of your tooth. Using the brand-new exclusive software, your restoration will be created according to your tooth's appropriate form and function.

Then, it will use a diamond burs to create your restoration from a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of areas needing restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to make your crown.

CEREC can be used for a full scope of indications: partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.

Today's Subject Is:

Root Canal

Root canal treatment (also described as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is essential when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and identify problems early). In some cases deep restorations or trauma to a tooth may also trigger the nerve to be damaged to the point it requires root canal treatment. Once this takes place, the pulp becomes infected, and can even extend through the root tip and start to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it must be treated, and can not recover by itself. It can even damage the entire immune system. This is dangerous, and might be very uncomfortable. Symptoms that the pulp has actually ended up being infected might include sensitivity to hot/cold or sugary foods, discomfort, swelling, discomfort to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. Often, however, no signs appear and the individual is unaware of any issue up until a checkup.

A root canal is then performed to clean out the infected tooth pulp, and sanitize the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to extract the tooth. As soon as the infection is fixed, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any further infection. Typically a core build-up and crown is suggested for restoring a tooth that has actually had root canal treatment.
