Same Day Dental Crowns In Only One Visit

If you select same day crowns, your experience will be rather different.

While your crown is being made, you are free to wait and enjoy our dental spa. You may choose to have other dental work done during this time.

After your ceramic crown is made, it is bonded to your tooth using cutting-edge adhesive dentistry. Done and done!

You do not need numerous appointments. Simply one trip and you go home with your long-term crown! Now that should give you something to smile about!

If you have actually been considering a crown, talk with us about it today.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of locations requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used in a broad scope of indications: inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns and veneers.

Today We Will Be Talking About:

Root Canal (Endodontic Treatment)

Root canal treatment (also referred to as root canal therapy or endodontic therapy) is required when a cavity is allowed, through neglect, to reach all the way to the root pulp. (Regular cleanings and checkups prevent and identify problems early). In some cases deep restorations or trauma to a tooth might also cause the nerve to be harmed to the point it needs root canal treatment. Once this takes place, the pulp becomes infected, and can even extend through the root tip and start to eat away at the surrounding bone (this is an abscess).

By the time the pulp is infected it needs to be treated, and can not heal by itself. It can even damage the whole immune system. This is dangerous, and might be extremely painful. Signs that the pulp has become infected may include sensitivity to hot/cold or sugary foods, discomfort, swelling, discomfort to biting or pressure, and a bad taste in the mouth. Often, however, no symptoms are apparent and the person is unaware of any problem till a checkup.

A root canal is then performed to clear out the infected tooth pulp, and decontaminate the canals of the tooth. The only other treatment would be to remove the tooth. When the infection is fixed, the canal(s) are filled in to prevent any more infection. Usually a core build-up and crown is suggested for bring back a tooth that has actually had root canal therapy.
