Single Visit Dental Crowns With Advanced Technology

We strive to stay current with the multitude of technological advances that are occurring in dentistry. We are proud to have the same day crown innovation in our office. It allows us to produce crowns and larger restorations in our office. Same day crowns use the most advanced dental technology, including 3D video imaging and CAD/CAM technology. In layman's terms, it is a computer-designed restoration for your tooth. The whole procedure takes in between 1-2 hours and can be completed in one sitting.

Normally, a crown in the past would have required 2 appointments. The first appointment includes preparing the tooth, taking the mold, and fitting a temporary crown. During the second visit, the temporary crown is replaced with the long-term one. With a same day crown, the entire procedure can be completed in simply one appointment. We will use video imaging technology to photograph the tooth and use CAD/CAM technology to design the crown. This 3D design is wirelessly sent to a milling machine that carves the restoration out of a vacuum formed ceramic block. We will then adhere the brand-new crown to your tooth. This removes the need to get a temporary as well as a second visit.

Corrective dentistry treatments can be extremely important to the general health of your teeth and mouth. Please call our office and request a visit.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of locations needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used in a full range of indications: inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns and veneers.

Today's Topic Will Be:

Dental Dentures

There are various kinds of dentures, however they share their common function. They replace teeth that have become loose or been lost due to bone loss. When bone loss around the roots of teeth is great enough to let them fall out or loosen them, it's time for dentures. Relax. Nobody enjoys losing their natural teeth, but you can still eat and talk regularly.

The whole mouth is examined and a decision is made as to which teeth will need to be removed, and which will remain. The loose teeth are then removed. Dentures are fitted to go around or over whatever teeth remain in the mouth, depending upon the type. There is an adjustment period after dentures are positioned in the mouth, and it can take some getting used to. Once accustomed to the dentures, all the regular functionality and appearance return and one simply continues as usual. Typically implants can be used to further stabilize the dentures.

It is very important to keep in mind that life with an upper denture, a lower denture, and especially both, is a major lifestyle change when as compared to natural teeth. Dentures impact the type of food you have the ability to eat, your self-esteem in social circumstances, as well as your self-esteem.

Reasons For Getting A Full Denture:

  • All Teeth missing in the same arch

  • Restore chewing ability

  • Restore a natural looking smile

  • Economical alternative to other procedures

An upper full denture will often feel better than a lower full denture. In order to drastically enhance the fit of a lower full denture, we frequently suggest using dental implants as a retentive mechanism. Two dental implants positioned in the lower jaw can help anchor the denture and considerably improve comfort. Sometimes, the implants can even be placed in the jaw after a denture has actually been in use for a number of years.
