What Are Single Visit Crowns?

It is a innovation for fixing damaged teeth, and this restoration can be completed in a single appointment at our office. It makes your teeth tougher and more stunning - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the high-grade ceramic material and works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

During your visit, you and your dentist will talk about the details of the procedure and your dental practitioner will answer any questions you may have regarding the treatment or porcelain crowns in general.

Your dental practitioner will then use a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special 3D imaging camera to take a photo of your tooth. Using the brand-new proprietary software, your restoration will be created according to your tooth's proper shape and function.

Then, it will use a diamond burs to produce your restoration out of a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

The Conversation For Today Is:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a procedure where we use a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be used in specific circumstances where a tooth has actually been damaged or ended up being stained. These are usually small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this reasonably inexpensive methods instead of through a more expensive dental procedure.

Here's How It Works:
Bonding includes adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to fix damage done to the tooth by decay, to alter the alignment of the tooth, close spaces between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is applied so the material adheres to the surface area. Then the material itself is placed on the tooth and hardened with intense light. The composite resin material is formed and polished to get a lustrous finish as a last step.
