Can Same Day Crowns Help Me?

With this new technology it permits dentists to custom-craft restorations in as little as one hour. With this, we can fabricate natural looking crowns, onlays, inlays, and veneers right here in our office while you relax. Now, there is no longer a need to make multiple appointments to the dental practitioner's office to be measured and fitted with short-term restorations - you can enjoy a fantastic, natural looking, and durable solution for your missing or broken teeth today.

First, your dental practitioner will meet with you to go over the information of the treatment. Throughout the procedure, the dental practitioner will put a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique camera to take a photo of your tooth.

Using the new software, the image acts as a map to create your tooth's restoration. Then, it will use a diamond bur and disk-work to create your restoration piece from ceramic.

Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

It makes your teeth stronger and more lovely - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the state-of-the-art ceramic material works with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital images of areas requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a wide scope of indications: partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.

Today's Conversation Is About:

Composite Dental Bonding

Bonding is a procedure in which we apply a tooth-colored composite product to a tooth, shape it, allow it to harden, and polish it. It can be used in specific circumstances where a tooth has actually been damaged or become stained. These are normally small repairs, ones that can be resolved through this fairly inexpensive means instead of through a more expensive dental treatment.

Here Is How It Works:
Bonding involves adhering composite resin material that is matched to the color of the tooth, to the front of the tooth. This is done to repair damage done to the tooth by decay, to change the alignment of the tooth, close gaps in between the teeth, or for cosmetic purposes. First the surface area of the tooth is roughed up in order to accept the bonding and hold it. A gel is applied to micro etch the tooth surface area, and a primer/bond agent is used so the material adheres to the surface. Then the material itself is positioned on the tooth and solidified with intense light. The composite resin material is shaped and polished to get a glossy finish as a last step.
