Our practice likes new technology, specifically when it improves the dental care that we can provide to our clients. Because of this we now provide same day crowns.

Same day crowns are a remarkable brand-new innovation where gorgeous all porcelain crowns are produced within two hours of the preparation of a tooth for a crown. The old procedure was where the dental practitioner prepared your tooth for a crown, took an impression and sent this impression to a lab to have the crown constructed. Throughout this time the patient would have to wear a short-term plastic crown that was normally uncomfy.

Today, our equipment enables us to scan the tooth preparation and mill out a brand-new all porcelain crown within two hours. This means that the patient leaves our practice with the permanent crown that day!

  • There's no need to wear a short-term crown for two to three weeks.

  • There is no need to return once more to have the same day crown placed on your tooth.

  • There is no need to be numbed once more! No more shots!

Our practice likes same day crowns because it is made of stunning material and also incredibly long lasting.

If your thinking about a same day crown, please give our practice a call.

Same Day Crowns Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital images of areas requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to make your crown.

CEREC can be used in a wide range of indications: inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns and veneers.

Today Were Talking About:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the top aesthetic concern of many patients, there are multiple ways to whiten teeth. The most popular method is using a home tooth whitening system that will whiten teeth significantly. Since tooth lightening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is essential to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, and so on. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists use a number of techniques: customizeded tray whitening, professional strength white strips, and in-office whitening.

The tray approach involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory fabricates into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The whole procedure takes about a week of day-to-day use. 3 different strengths of gel might be utilized, however, the greater the strength, the higher the probability of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is suggested for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it might take multiple months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a extremely fast and hassle-free bleaching process. The visit is approximately one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our patients like this treatment since it is so easy and quick!

Tooth lightening is not permanent. A touch-up may be required once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays need to be used every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of external tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, and so on).
