Why Pick Single Visit Crowns?

It is crucial for a individual to have a strong and healthy set of teeth. However, there are some cases where dental cavity formation is inevitable. It is often caused by the individual's diet, habits and hygiene. Cavities that are not managed early might trigger substantial damage to the tooth's enamel which may require a dental crown to restore its natural appearance and function.

A dental crown is a cap formed like a tooth which is used to cover the tooth that has actually gone through extensive damage triggered by dental cavities. Getting it generally needs 2 dental appointments. Throughout the very first visit, your broken tooth is cleaned up and the decayed part is eliminated. The dental practitioner will then get the impression of your tooth that needed the crown and will send it to a dental laboratory where traditional dental crowns were made. It could be made from a metal, ceramic or porcelain material. Only throughout the 2nd appointment, your custom-fitted dental crown is cemented to your affected tooth.

With the development in dental technology, the procedure of getting and wearing a dental crown has been made easily offered. Dental practitioners use the new technology in making inlays/onlays, crowns and veneers. After your broken tooth is prepared, they will use an intraoral camera that will take the picture of your affected tooth and have it submitted to a computer. It will use a computer-aided design in taking the digital impression of your teeth and the impression is sent to the computer-aided manufacturing machine which will mill a color-matched ceramic block to your same day crowns. Choosing a same day crown over a standard dental crown has its advantages and downsides.

The Conversation Of The Day Will Be:

UltraSonic Tooth Cleaning

We use ultrasonic scalers for a lot of adult dental cleanings. These devices use ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that cause gingivitis and periodontal disease. The ultrasonic cleaners develop microscopic bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, eliminating microorganisms and removing plaque and tartar in the process. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the gum pockets to help maintain optimal gingival health.

  • The treatment only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can get rid of tartar buildup in hard-to-reach locations, with no damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling often uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is barely perceptible. This makes ultrasonic cleaning ideal to those with vulnerable teeth.

  • The cleaning process is much faster than manual scaling making your visit more comfortable.

After your teeth have been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to look for any residual deposits and then polished.
