Set up an appointment for same day crowns in our office today. Our office is pleased to have the current technology for same day crowns.

We always stay on the cutting-edge for our valued patients!

What Are Single Day Crowns?

It is a technology for restoring broken teeth, and this restoration can be completed in a single visit to our office. It makes your teeth stronger and more beautiful - all while keeping your teeth looking natural. The restoration is metal-free and the state-of-the-art ceramic material and is compatible with the natural tissue found in your mouth.

During your appointment, you and your dental practitioner will talk about the details of the treatment and your dental practitioner will answer any questions you may have relating to the procedure or porcelain crowns in general.

Your dental practitioner will then apply a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a special 3D imaging camera to take a photo of your tooth. Using the new proprietary software, your restoration will be developed according to your tooth's suitable form and function.

Then, it will use a diamond burs to develop your restoration out of a piece of ceramic. Finally, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using cutting edge adhesive dentistry.

Same Day Tooth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of locations requiring restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used in a full scope of indications: inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns and veneers.

Today's Topic Is:

Gum Disease (Periodontal Disease)

Gum disease is an infection of the tissues that surround and support your teeth. Because gum disease is typically pain-free, you might not know you have it. Also called periodontal disease, gum disease is caused by plaque, the sticky film of bacteria that is constantly forming on our teeth.

Here are couple warning signs that may signal an issue:

  • gums that bleed too quickly.

  • red, inflamed, tender gums.

  • gums that have actually retreated from the teeth.

  • persistent foul breath or bad taste.

  • permanent teeth that are separating or loose.

  • any change in the way your teeth fit together when you bite.

  • any difference in the fit of partial dentures.

There are numerous aspects that increase the risk of developing gum disease consisting of smoking cigarettes, pregnancy, and diabetes. It is very important to visit your dentist if you think you have gum disease because the sooner you treat it the better.

The early stage of periodontal disease is called gingivitis. If you have gingivitis, your gums might end up being red, inflamed and bleed easily. At this stage, the disease is still fixable and can usually be removed by a professional cleaning at your dental office, followed by daily flossing and brushing.

Advanced gum disease is called periodontitis. Chronic periodontitis can cause the loss of bone and tissue that support the teeth and it may become more severe over time. If it does, your teeth will feel loose and start moving around in your mouth. It generally worsens slowly, but there can be periods of fast progression.

Aggressive periodontitis is a highly damaging form of periodontal disease that happens in patients who are otherwise healthy. Common features consist of rapid loss of bone and tissue and may happen in some areas of the mouth, or in the entire mouth.

Research in between systemic diseases and periodontal diseases is ongoing. While a link is not conclusive, some studies suggest that serious periodontal disease may be associated with numerous other health conditions such as stroke or diabetes.

Regular dental checkups and gum examinations are extremely important. The treatment techniques that most dental professionals diagnose will depend upon the kind of disease and how far the condition has advanced. Excellent dental care at home is necessary to help keep gum disease from ending up being more severe or recurring.
