If you have a fractured or broken tooth, are experiencing pain when chewing or exposed to hot or cold temperatures, or wish to eliminate unattractive metal crowns or fillings, then dental crowns might be an excellent alternative for you. Dental Crowns cover the visible surface of the affected tooth, adding toughness and stability to it.

Same-day dental crowns are an option that we provide on a case by case basis to clients who would gain from the treatment. They allow patients to come to our office and leave within a couple hours with their permanent dental crown in place that same day. This gets rid of the need to have a short-term crown placed then another appointment set up for the positioning of the permanent crown.

Our Same-Day Crowns are made with our brand-new innovation that scans the mouth to get the proper measurements of your tooth and surrounding teeth, and then makes your crown right there in the office. These restorations are extremely strong and long lasting and constructed out of the highest quality porcelain available. In many cases, a gold crown might be recommended for your posterior teeth (back teeth) if you grind or clench your teeth a lot.

Gold crowns are different from porcelain crowns, and the cost may differ between the two and you might wish to discuss your budget as well with the your dental practitioner. Your dental practitioner will go over with you the kinds of crowns available and give you a recommendation based on your specific scenario.

Call us to arrange a complimentary cosmetic consultation. We look forward to meeting you.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of locations needing restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in simply one visit. We will develop and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. Temporal Mandibular Joint

TMJ stands for temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Problems in this joint may be triggered by a misalignment of the teeth, trauma, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and five muscles are associated with the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can cause:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, often extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can consist of replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling gaps between teeth, etc. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Sometimes a plastic mouth piece is utilized to prevent clenching or grinding that is contributing to the issue. If unattended and taken to extremes, surgery might be required to fix a badly damaged joint.
