What's So Special About Same Day Crowns?

In a common dental practice, getting dental crowns is a long and often an unpleasant procedure that can take a number of weeks to complete. However, our practice uses same day crown technology, which enables us to scan, design, and mill lovely tooth-colored crowns in one day.

Envision entering our dental office to get a crown and leaving the same day with a strong, durable, and visually pleasing crown already in place. Call us today for more details!

The Single Visit Crown Process

During your visit, you and your dental practitioner will talk about the information of the procedure and your dental practitioner will address any concerns you may have. Your dental practitioner will then use a thin layer of reflective powder onto your tooth and will use a unique 3D imaging camera to take a picture of your tooth. Using the brand-new software, your restoration will be developed according to your tooth's appropriate form and function.

Then, the mill will use diamond burs to develop your restoration out of a piece of ceramic. Lastly, the ceramic restoration is bonded to your tooth using state-of-the-art adhesive dentistry.

Same Day Teeth Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of locations needing restoration and produce the suitable restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration finished in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to produce your crown.

CEREC can be used in a wide range of indications: onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns, anterior crowns, veneers and inlays.

Today's Discussion Will Be About:

Ultrasonic Cleanings

We use ultrasonic scalers for the majority of adult dental cleanings. These devices use ultrasonic vibrations to help breakdown the plaque and calculus on the teeth that cause gingivitis and gum disease. The ultrasonic cleaners develop tiny bubbles that implode on the surface of the tooth, eliminating microbes and eliminating plaque and tartar in the process. Our instruments use a thin tip to better navigate in the periodontal pockets to help maintain optimal gingival health.

  • The treatment only uses water, no chemicals are used.

  • It can eliminate tartar buildup in hard-to-reach areas, with no damage to the tooth enamel.

  • Manual scaling frequently uses pressure for cleaning, while the vibration produced by the scaling tip of an ultrasonic scaler is barely perceptible. This makes ultrasonic cleaning suitable to those with vulnerable teeth.

  • The cleaning process is faster than manual scaling making your visit more comfy.

After your teeth have actually been cleaned with the ultrasonic cleaner, your teeth will be hand scaled to check for any residual deposits then polished.
