If you have a missing tooth or teeth, you know the embarrassment and pain this can trigger. You have most likely been investigating methods you can restore your smile and excellent bite. We think you will be very interested to know that at our practice, you have the ability to receive same day crowns! It is a comfortable one-day procedure!

Our entire dental practice is state-of-the-art, except for our patient care and concern which is traditional. We understand the pain missing teeth can cause patients, and for that reason we are very pleased to be able to offer patients with same day crowns.

Dental crowns are used to reinforce a tooth, and return it to its initial function. Dental crowns are made to color-match the surrounding teeth, so they can not be spotted by others as being anything less than a long-term tooth. With a dental crown, you have the ability to eat anything you like, and your clear speech will never ever be interfered with. In fact, your dental crown is so natural feeling, you will not even know it exists in your mouth.

Same day crowns are a really amazing offering of our practice. We are able to offer you with a lovely new smile in simply one day. Our office has cutting edge equipment that allows dentists to supply you with crowns in just a small portion of the time that was required previously.

CAD/CAM technology is what makes this exciting development possible. The acronym represents computer-aided design/computed-aided manufacturing. We are able to use this innovation in our system. This system is used to fix teeth, start to finish, in one day. This will save you from an additional visit to our practice, a week or two later. We're sure you have a lot more amazing things you would rather do with your time than to sit in our dentist's chair any longer than you need to!

Using our new system, we scan the readied tooth in your mouth or from an impression, and after that send the information to our in-office milling station. The restoration is computer-milled to the exact specifications to fit your mouth in minutes. When the crown is crated, we put it in your mouth, and color, polish and restore your new tooth to a stunning and natural-looking radiance. This innovation can also be used for same-day veneers or inlays.

If you need a crown in a hurry, for an upcoming social or company occasion, this procedure might indeed be perfect for you. If you are interested in finding out more about this process, contact us today for a visit.

The Discussion For Today Will Be:

Fillings

Fillings are done to remove decay, and replace the afflicted tooth structure. It is called a filling because brand-new material fills the hole that the decay left. Now days most teeth are treated with bonded tooth colored composite resin fillings. Caught early enough, cavities can be treated easily and painlessly. If not treated, decay can result in tooth pain and/or infection, and the tooth would need a root canal treatment or extraction.

There are 2 kinds of fillings; amalgam or silver fillings, and composite or white fillings. Composite fillings are tooth-colored to blend in with the remaining natural part of the tooth. Most dentists provide both kinds of fillings, but find that a lot of their patients prefer the composite fillings.

The term composite refers to the actual filling material which is a mix of glass or quartz filler in a resin medium.

Composite fillings provide great resilience and resistance to fracture in small-to-mid size restorations that need to hold up against moderate chewing pressure. Less tooth structure is eliminated when the dentist prepares the tooth, and this may lead to a smaller sized filling than with of an amalgam.

In addition, composites are "bonded", or adhesively connected, to the tooth, typically allowing a more conservative repair for the tooth. Composite fillings require that the tooth be kept clean and dry during the whole filling procedure and they go through stain and discoloration with time. The life span of a white filling can depend greatly on where it is in your mouth and how heavily your teeth come together when you bite.

Composite filling material is also frequently utilized to fix front teeth that have cracked or worn. Where possible, esthetic bonding of composite material to front teeth is normally much more economical than veneers or crowns. However, bonding typically does not last as long as veneers or crowns.
