Why Choose Same Day Crowns?

There are numerous advantages of single visit crowns over traditional crown technology.

  • Time: Same day crowns are made in one appointment, saving you considerable time away from your job and family.

  • Comfort: With same day crowns, there is no need for a temporary crown, which eliminates significant possible discomfort and inconvenience of a lost temporary restoration. Only one visit means only one injection, or no injections if the tooth was formerly treated with a root canal. No conventional impressions resulting in no gagging.

  • Aesthetics: The strong, tooth-colored ceramic materials of this new innovation restores your teeth to their natural durability, charm, and function and closely match the composition of natural tooth structure.

  • Strength: Milled ceramic is stronger than the standard method of layering and pressing, so your smile will remain gorgeous for years!

  • Fillings: Same day crown material and technology can also be used for fillings. Because they are constructed out of porcelain, they are more durable than white composite fillings. They are much more aesthetic than mercury containing silver fillings and stronger because of bonding technology.

If you have anymore concerns about same day crowns or porcelain crowns, please feel free to call our office today. We will address any questions you have and you can make an appointment to consult with our dental practitioner in person.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC stands for CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take accurate digital imagery of areas requiring restoration and produce the proper restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will design and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer milling unit right in the office. You no longer need to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the lab to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be utilized for a wide range of indications: veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns, posterior crowns and anterior crowns.

The Topic For Today Will Be:

Digital X-Rays

X-rays are a primary tool for early identification of dental issues.

Finding issues with x-rays before they become problems can save you money in the long run by preventing the requirement for more extensive, costly procedures or surgeries. X-rays are mostly utilized to discover:

  • Cysts (fluid filled sacks at the base of your teeth).

  • Impacted teeth.

  • Teeth that are still coming in.

  • Tumors, both cancerous and non-cancerous.

  • Internal tooth decay.

Most dentists use digital x-rays, which have multiple advantages over traditional film based x-rays. Digital x-rays enable us to take x-rays with 1/5 of the radiation that you would receive from traditional dental x-rays. The worry of exposure to excess radiation is removed.

Big on-screen X-rays make client communication more effective. The instant observation of the images on the screen allows us to discuss your dental health quickly and properly.

Digital radiography has greatly enhanced the practice of dentistry. It allows the client and the medical professional to see images of the teeth in higher resolution on a big format for easier detection of problems, all while decreasing the radiation direct exposure to the client. The procedure we use further defines the radiograph, leading to clinically meaningful images that are sharp, detailed and rich in contrast.

Images are available quickly after exposure, eliminating the wait and effort spent developing and mounting x-rays. If an image needs to be retaken, it can be done right away. Digital format also allows us to send and get your images electronically for consultation that can be presented to you rapidly.
