The Benefits Of Getting Same Day Crowns Are:

  • It is time-saving. It enables you to have your dental crown put in place in just one dental appointment.

  • Its material is biocompatible. Same day crowns use ceramic which copies the look of your natural teeth hence making it visually pleasing. It does not cause temperature sensitivity which holds true in the case of dental crowns made from metals.

  • It is durable. Same day crowns have the same sturdiness as those made from gold materials.

  • It is more accurate. The impression made from this new technology is more accurate compared with traditional impressions.

  • Taking dental impression is more comfortable. Same day crowns use intraoral camera and CAD to take the impression of the tooth while traditional dental impression is done using salt alignate.

The only disadvantage of a single visit crown is that not all clients are candidates for this treatment. Clients with extensive tooth damage that has actually reached the gum line requires a traditional crown instead of a same day crown. Also, the damage in the front tooth requires a laboratory-manufactured crown due to the fact that they are diligently made than same day crowns.

The Discussion For Today Will Be:

TMJ (Temporal Mandibular Joint)

TMJ stands for temporal-mandibular joint. Temporal, as in temple area of skull; mandibular as in mandible, or lower jaw; joint as in it's where the head and jaw meet. Issues in this joint might be caused by a misalignment of the teeth, injury, or excess muscle tension. Aside from the two bones that meet there, cartilage buffers them and five muscles are associated with the area. If something goes wrong a good deal of trouble can result.

Problems in this area can trigger:

  • Earaches.

  • Headaches.

  • Pain in the jaw muscles.

  • Soreness in opening and closing the mouth.

  • Soreness in the area, often extending to the face.

  • Clicking or popping of the jaw.

Dental treatments for the condition can include replacing missing teeth, moving teeth, adjusting the bite, filling gaps in between teeth, etc. There is no one solution that is right for all cases. Sometimes a plastic mouthpiece is used to prevent clenching or grinding that is adding to the problem. If untreated and taken to extremes, surgery may be needed to repair a terribly damaged joint.
