Why Do They Call Them Same Day Crowns?

This state-of-the-art technology allows your dentist to take accurate pictures of your tooth and use those images to design, manufacture, and place a porcelain or zirconia crown in a single visit. Same day crowns provide exceptional convenience, value, and accuracy to our clients.

How Does The Same Day Crown Technology Work?

The same day crown process consists of three fundamental steps. First, your dental practitioner uses 3D imaging to take extremely precise pictures of your tooth and the surrounding structures. 2nd, they then download these images into a computer and, using computer-assisted design software, develops your custom-fitted crown. 3rd, your dental practitioner will send out the design to their in-office precision milling device which develops the crown out of a block of dental porcelain or zirconia. Once they stain and glaze the crown for added strength and esthetics, your dentist will place it on your tooth.

Exactly What Are The Benefits Of Same Day Crowns?

We just use dental porcelain and zirconia to develop our same day crowns. These metal-free restorations provide unparalleled toughness, sturdiness, chip and stain resistance, and natural appeal.

Precision-fitted same day crowns require less tooth preparation and protect more of your tooth structure.

Standard crowns need 2 office visits. With same day crowns, you can come to our dentist's office for an appointment and leave with a perfectly restored tooth.

You can avoid the trouble and possible risks related to ill-fitting temporary crowns.

Today's Topic Will Be:

Dental Implants

A dental implant is a metal device designed to replace missing teeth. The device is typically constructed of titanium and is surgically placed into the jawbone where the tooth is missing. An implant is permanent, unlike a dental bridge.

Crowns and conventional bridges or dentures might not be your only options when replacing missing teeth. For some individuals, dental implants provide a smile that looks extremely natural. Surgically placed below the gums over a series of appointments, implants connect to the jawbone and work as a base for bridges or a denture, individual replacement teeth.

Implants offer stability because they fuse to your bone, a procedure called osseointegration. Integration of these implants into your jaw also helps your replacement teeth feel more natural and some people also find the secure fit is more comfy than conventional substitutes. Candidates for dental implants need to have healthy gums and adequate bone to support the implant.

What's Involved In Having A Dental Implant?

A dental implant might be an option to replace a missing tooth. In this treatment, a little titanium shaft is surgically {placed|implanted into the bone and allowed to set. The bone grows around it forming a tight connection, which additionally slows or stops the bone loss that happens when the root of a natural tooth is missing. When the implant is securely embeded in the mouth, the dentist then works to connect the replacement tooth onto the top of the shaft. This permanent option has the advantages over bridge work that it does not need the surrounding teeth for support, and, should the tooth break, another can simply be replaced on the shaft.

Implants can also be used as support as part of an implant bridge. This is an option to partial dentures, and has multiple advantages. First, there is no adjustment period to acclimatize the patient who, when the work is done, only feels teeth, not metal supports intruding into the mouth. Second, this slows the bone loss occasioned by missing teeth. Third, there is no discomfort or difficulty in eating. And, best of all, of course, they don't need to be taken out all the time.
