Thanks to ingenious modern day innovations, we are proud to introduce the capability to offer you with same day crowns - that's right, a brand-new crown in just one visit! Here's how it works.

First, high resolution digital 3-D impressions are taken with a small camera, a special camera created just for this function.

Then, the new software evaluates the whole image and uses the results to calculate a number of exceptional restoration possibilities. Next those possibilities are examined and fine-tuned by the doctor and the last restoration plan is chosen.

Finally your new crown is milled by the cerec device right in our office and put in your mouth, all in one appointment!

If you wish to know more about the same day crown treatment, call our office and we would be more than happy to assist you.

Same Day Crown Restorations

CEREC means CERamic REConstruction and is a tool in our office that can take exact digital imagery of locations requiring restoration and produce the appropriate restoration on the spot.

With our CEREC cad/cam machine, you can have your crown or other restoration completed in just one visit. We will create and custom fit your tooth precisely with our computer system milling unit right in the office. You no longer have to have a temporary crown or wait weeks for the laboratory to fabricate your crown.

CEREC can be used in a wide scope of indications: anterior crowns, veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns and posterior crowns.

Today We Will Be Talking About:

Tooth Whitening

Because having whiter teeth has now become the number one aesthetic concern of most patients, there are numerous methods to lighten teeth. The most popular method is utilizing a home tooth bleaching system that will lighten teeth dramatically. Since tooth lightening just works on natural tooth enamel, it is necessary to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. Replacement of any restorations will be done after whitening so they will match the newly bleached teeth.

Most dentists utilize multiple methods: customizeded tray lightening, professional strength white strips, and in-office lightening.

The tray technique involves having impressions taken, which the laboratory produces into customized vinyl trays. A carbamide peroxide gel is placed in these trays and the trays with gel are worn for about 30 minutes to a full hour. The entire procedure takes about a week of everyday use. 3 different strengths of gel might be utilized, however, the higher the strength, the higher the possibility of reactions or tooth sensitivity. The tray technique is recommended for terribly stained teeth, such as tetracycline staining, and it may take a number of months of use to see substantial color improvement.

Our in-office treatment is a very quick and convenient lightening procedure. The visit is roughly one hour consisting of both the preparation and treatment. Our clients like this treatment since it is so simple and quick!

Tooth bleaching is not permanent. A touch-up may be needed once a year and more often if you smoke and/or drink coffee, tea, or wine. For upkeep of whitened teeth the trays must be utilized every few months.

Reasons For Tooth Whitening:

  • Yellow, brown stained teeth.

  • Normal wear of outer tooth layer.

  • Florousis (extreme fluoridation during tooth development).

  • Stained teeth due to medications (tetracycline, etc.).
